CASology Challenge #249; SSS Flickr Challenge #71

Hi there blog friends ~
I'm joining in a few challenges and I have two cards to share...First up is a card for this week's challenge at CASology.

And, my card...

I won this EKG die in a blog hop from Sugar Pea Designs and thought it would be fun to use it for this cue card. I embossed the white panel with the PTI Linen Impression Plate to add texture and the sentiment is from MFT.

******************

My 2nd card is for the current challenge at SSS Flickr Group, and we were asked to create a card using our favorite technique ~

I love ink blending and die cutting, so I used my new Distress Oxide inks on Bristol cardstock and I love the smooth, creamy texture of this ink. I blended 3 colors from bottom left to top right, although it's hard to see the Worn Lipstick on screen. The die cut (Confetti) is SSS and the stamped sentiment is also from SSS.
That's it for me ~ I hope everyone is having a great weekend...Thanks so much for stopping by,

Both so wonderful Barb, I just love your cas designs. The confetti circle is certainly heaps of fun, and you've got the Oxides... I haven't committed as yet, still on the fence, but then it did take me ages to warm to the Distress Inks too. they look marvelous (but I don't 'need' them.... really I don't lol)!

Gorgeous cards Barb. Love the oxide blending. I haven't got any yet but there is a big craft fair coming to Auckland at the end of June, so will be saving up for some methinks!

You always rock the blending - no matter the ink! I see that lipstick, and also a bit of that gorgeous amber [my fave!]
Now your CASology card, I must say, truly would warm the cockles of your sweetie's heart! Both cards are fabulous, Barb!

Two gorgeous cards, Barb! I just got that heart die from SPD this week and can't wait to put it to use. Your layout on this card is fabulous. And your ink blended card is just gorgeous! Ink blending would be one of my top techniques, too.
