CAS(E) This Sketch - Take 2

Hi everyone ~
I have 2 cards to share with you today. I really love this week’s sketch by Sam Simpson for CAS(E) This Sketch #70, so I decided to create another card.

I stamped and die cut the polaroid frame and stamped the sentiment. Then, I just die cut some pretty cardstock for the flowers and leaves, placed some ‘messy’ thread behind the frame, and that was it...easy peasy, and very CAS!

I also created my next card just for fun! I’ve seen several really pretty cards using this cute little Hero Arts bird, and finally bought him :-)

I inked my new MFT ‘Sun Ray’ Stencil (a gift from a very sweet friend) with Butter Bar and Orange Soda ink, stamped the bird on the stitched circle and used water color pencils to color him in. A few sequins, and this card was finished!

Thank you so much for stopping by...I appreciate your sweet comments very much! I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Oooooh you totally outdid yourself on these two Barb! I'm adding them to my CASE file right now! I love them both! The little cluster of goodness on the first one is wonderful! That little frame is so perfect! The starburst on the second one leads the eye right to that beautiful little bird! Absolutely splendid work! :)

Two beautiful cards Barb - I love the simplicity of the first with the perfectly-placed "messy" thread in the background - sooooo effective!
The second is right up my street as I adore birds, and the sun-ray is awesome!
